At first glance, the tool appears to be a linear process, and we recommend that the suggested activities, professional development and technical assistance be conducted in this order. However, there are times that suggested activities can be conducted at the same time.
For example, we suggest that teachers be trained in the Characteristics of Effective Health Education Curricula prior to the development of a sexual health scope and sequence. But this training and TA could take place anytime throughout the curriculum adoption/development process.
